STRONGER RETREAT 2017
The annual Stronger Retreat is our most significant event. It offers young people an opportunity to step away from the busyness of their world and reflect on what it means to be loved by God. From the first retreat, young people come together from across Victoria and interstate to grow in, explore, celebrate and share their faith.
The elements of the retreat include: praise and worship, keynote speakers, workshops, Adoration, Mass, games, panel discussions, small groups, Reconciliation, and a good time of fellowship. Our youth are also given the opportunity during the retreat to commit their hearts to the Lord.
The retreat is co-ordinated by the diocesan youth ministry office and run by a dedicated and generous team of volunteers. Speakers from across Australia have inspired the retreat participants in the past. The continuing support of the Sandhurst Diocese and Sandhurst Catholic Education Office ensures that retreats are accessible to all young people who would like to attend.
Each year the Retreat brings together engaging speakers focusing on relevant and practical topics. It offers participants:
– An opportunity for communal and personal prayer
– Mass, Reconciliation and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
– Music, praise and worship
– And so much more…
